The second release under the moniker Storyboard Concept, this is the first in a series of concept records featuring the protagonist Mercury Satin and his imprisonment against the morphing Zyggy Zygott.

ZYGOTT starts with Mercury Satin waking up in The Flat with no recollection of how he got there. It’s there he meets Zyggy Zygott for the first time, who immediately takes him under his wing to give Mercury a sense of safety… or so Mercury thinks. Becoming a prisoner to Zyggy, Mercury takes the punishment of he is delivered to him until he meets another prisoner by the name of N., who in tangent with Mercury, initiates a plan on defeating Zyggy and escaping The Flat.

ZYGOTT – the EP – was written, recorded and mixed by Colin Rodger, over the course of multiple studio moves and the birth of his first child. Colin performed all the instruments and drum programming, as he is now able to accomplish such a feat after years of perfecting his craft. The main goal of ZYGOTT was to be heavy, while also being cathartic, as it was a massive learning curve on many fronts. The next release will incorporate all that was accomplished in ZYGOTT and more.
